Jay Sean was in the Live Lounge ahead of 1Xtra Live in Sheffield. He performed his single Down and also did a brilliant stripped back cover of The Black Eyed Peas ‘I Gotta Feeling’.

He explains he can’t wait to get on stage at Sheffield - hear what he’s looking forward to and why he’ll be on stage in his Y-fronts.

He told Fearne about his new life living in Manhattan and that the strangest bit about his fame is when his cousins and other family members ask for photos with him. He’s not complaining though, he was number 1 in the US singles chart AND knocked off The Black Eyed Peas from their 6 month reign.

These last two songs of his are better than anything on Microphone Champion but what I really want to know is who these shots are being fired at and if he’s sending for Wiley again because I’m not so sure but I definitely think there’s more than one target on this track.

Taio Cruz came into the Live Lounge and performed his number one single Break Your Heart and a cover.

He’s just passed his driving test – he did it first time after just 10 lessons. He bought himself an Audi TT to celebrate! He’s been mentoring the X Factor finalists recently - he’s a fan of Stacey.

Taio told Fearne he originally wrote his single ‘Break Your Heart’ for Cheryl Cole, but then recorded it himself because he never heard back from her. How rude.
