Apparently this is the official artwork for Relapse 2 which, according to Amazon, will be out 16/11 for us.  Interestingly, they also list 50′s Before I Self Destruct as being released a week before Em’s album.

Now that Jay-Z has left Def Jam, Hov’s former label is looking to cash in on Jay one last time.  Def Jam will release The Blueprint Collector’s Edition consisting of Jigga’s first two classic albums, The Blueprint and The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse.

Much like Mariah’s collector’s set, Jay-Z’s edition will be packaged in a collectible slipcase with a poster. There will be space to insert a third CD.  The Blueprint Collector’s Edition releases September 8, three days before The Blueprint 3 arrives on September 11 through Atlantic Records.

It’s “meh” but the extra storage for the third CD is pretty cool.

This bottle of Opus One is low but my spirits are high my friends. I am about 2 hours away from Toronto, CA where I will be spending the next chunk of time recovering from a surgery that I now must have. I embarked on this tour with a torn ACL, MCL, and LCL and due to the events that happened the other night lord only knows what other damage I have done. On the bright side I will begin the reflecting and soul searching that its going to take to make this album and my outfit on the night I fell was crack. I will forever push myself beyond the limits despite advice and recommendations given because even with this new found success I am still the kid who wanted this more than anything in the world. Its funny when I read comments from previous fans who have lost interest because of the radio play and exposure I have. I just want to assure anyone reading that nothing has changed on my end. I refuse to get comfortable, I refuse to fall in line and follow anyone elses formulas. I still work as if So Far Gone had never dropped and I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to gain entry to this game.

Youth Music Box is an interactive music, video and design installation that will be at the Southbank Centre.  It’s a summer holiday event (running for six weeks) where people can come and play instruments on Wii Music/Guitar Hero-esque instruments inside the box to create a piece of music together.  The sessions are then recorded and uploaded online for everyone to enjoy – and all in the name of charity.  Sadly, I can’t make it during those six weeks but if you’re in the area I’m sure it would be great fun.  To find out more visit here.

Rap superstar Jay-Z will hand deliver his new album to bosses at Atlantic Records in London – as he is terrified of the unheard material being leaked on the internet.

The hip-hop legend’s highly-anticipated new disc, Blueprint 3, is set for release on 11 September but the Big Pimpin’ hitmaker doesn’t want to end up like stars such as Leona Lewis and Guns N’ Roses, who have found their unreleased songs leaked online.

A source tells the Daily Star that Jay-Z decided the best way to stop this happening was to take the album to London himself.  The source says, “Every time a big artist has new music ready these days someone somewhere is always keen to pinch it and whack it on the internet. Jay is very protective and smart and doesn’t want fans to hear tracks which aren’t quite right. He wants to give the record to the label in the UK and see which songs go down best to give him ideas about single releases.”

Jay-Z arrives in London next week.

Simon Cowell may finally have met his match – in a bunch of computer geeks.  The music mogul is hunting internet hackers who nabbed top secret demo tracks by Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke from his Syco label.

The crooks have been hacking into producers’ computers to grab the X Factor winners’ tunes, then flogging them to dodgy download sites.  Yesterday two demos by Alex, Perfect and Overcome, hit t’internet, with cyber conmen claiming they are from her upcoming album. But insiders at Syco – part of Sony BMG – say that’s cobblers.

“Label bosses are furious and everyone is in a panic. Sony have spent thousands of pounds over the past few weeks investigating the sources of the leaks. We are now pretty close to nailing the people responsible but it’s been a nightmare.”

Chelsea have confirmed that they have rejected a second offer from Manchester City for captain John Terry.  Money-rich City made an unsuccessful bid for the England skipper last season and they have again failed in their attempts to bring the centre-back to Eastlands.

The size of the offer has not been revealed, but Chelsea insist that Terry is not for sale and that the 28-year-old is totally committed to the cause at Stamford Bridge.

A statement on the club’s official website said: “We can confirm we have completely rejected an offer from Manchester City for John Terry.  It was made clear to City, for a second time following an approach last season, that we would not entertain any conversation on the subject.  At the time John also reiterated his total commitment to Chelsea.  We would like to make it clear, and will not do so again, that John is not for sale.”

SMH, what is wrong with these guys?  Do they really think we’re like Man Utd and Arsenal? We will never let our best players go, know this.
